Provision of facilities for our youngsters needs to be encouraged, created and supported.

In addition, on the 9th December 2004, in support of the Parish Plan Questionnaire, a meeting was held in the Village Hall to try to get a more informed view of what youngsters in the Community need. This session was very productive and it identified many aspirations of which the top 6 are:

  • Skateboard / Bike facility
  • Toilets
  • Hot food / drink provision
  • Youth Bus / Youth Club
  • Shelter
  • Football Pitch / club

Returning to the questionnaire, other suggested activities were:

  • Proficiency Tests for Cyclists
  • Horse riding i.e. Road Safety Tests, etc.

From the questionnaire responses, there emerges a view that

  • people are willing to help
  • some guidance is needed on rules and regulations for some of the activities
